James Misenti, President
Jim Misenti founded American Overhead Doors, Inc in 1987. Through the years AOD has grown from a 2 person company to one of the largest in Connecticut. There isn’t anything Jim hasn’t seen in this industry and shares his experience with all his sales and tech staff. He has developed a huge trust with both customers and vendors over the 30 years in business. Jim’s vision for the company has been consistent over the years: For American Overhead Doors, Inc. to offer competitively priced, quality product to our customers while providing our loyal, valued employees a safe, secure, positive work environment for them and their families livelihood.
Dale Misenti, Vice President
Dale Misenti is Jim’s wife and has been involved in the business since its start in 1987. With a wide range of Office management and Sales positions in her background, she is now in charge of AP/AR.
Michael Misenti, Chief Operating Officer
Michael Misenti has been involved with the company for 18 years. From starting in warehousing and going into sales – his hands on approach helped assist with the companies growth under his parents Jim and Dale. Aligned with a great growing internal staff, Michael was able to transition and grow sales and take on responsibilities as sales manager, operations manager, and vice President. His current role as Chief Operating Officer is overseeing again more growth, working with all managers and key staff – while implementing new technologies to adapt to industry changes and operational improvements.
Jenn Sansabrino, Office Manager
Jennifer has been part of the American Overhead Doors family now for over 5 years. She started with us as an administrative assistant and eventually became our direct point of contact for accounts receivable and billing. Having surpassed our expectations she was promoted to office manager and maintains a complete professional thoroughness and a pride in her work that is quite refreshing. She is constantly multi-tasking, and is also an excellent customer service representative, always polite, patient and understanding of our customer’s many needs. Jennifer has worked in the field of administration and billing for over 10 years and furthered her education at University of Connecticut, studying liberal arts and political science.
Greg Sliva, Commercial Division Manager
Greg Sliva started with American Overhead Doors after high school in 2005. Greg has climbed the ladder from warehousing, to installations, operations manager, retail manager and currently is our project manager/estimator for the commercial department. His background also includes a BS in Construction Management with his OSHA 30 license. You can find Greg running jobs from 5 doors to 50 doors- and is a major asset to our companies success and growth.
Shawn Hutchins, Operations Manager
Shawn has been a huge asset to our entire team here at American Overhead Doors. Shawn began his career in the field servicing and installation both commercial and residential doors, so guides his crew through the hands on experience he has gained. You can find Shawn dispatching services and installations on time while also scheduling, maintaining order management, and overall sight and control for warehousing. A true multi-tasker at the heart Shawn is often juggling over 100 jobs! If he is not working our dispatch software and the phones, you can find him spending time with his beautiful girlfriend Kacie and their adorable son Kameron.
Todd Shea, Residential Sales Representative
Todd comes to us with 20 years of experience in the door industry. He was born and raised in North Haven and after graduating High School attended Western New England College for 1 year before transferring to The University of New Haven to complete his studies. Todd has been married for 18years and has 2 incredible kids named Todd and Emily. A typical day at AOD for Todd can include helping homeowners find the perfect door that compliments and adds value to their home, or working with builders on 100+ door projects. His diversity is truly an asset to our team. In his free time Todd loves to be outdoors. You can find him on the weekends enjoying boating, fishing, camping, hiking and relaxing at the beach with his family.
Steve Casey, Residential Sales Representative
Steven holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and has held various management and sales positions in the financial and healthcare industry throughout the last 10 years. Steve brings an excellent eye for detail and solid customer service skills to our sales team. He is great at helping customers go through all the options available, he currently receives more positive customer feedback than almost anyone on our team! From new construction projects, to everyday residential replacement, he handles it all from start to finish like a true pro. We are lucky to have him help us stay organized and on top of our game. Steve also enjoys playing guitar, everything from Classical to Rock, and enjoys spending his time off with his Family.
